(ADR) is an alternative procedure to the traditional court processes or litigation. Unlike litigation, ADR is party-driven, collaborative, more inclusive, and less expensive. As such, the parties get to decide what they would want as the end result.

1. Negotiation: this is a method used by letting the parties involved in the disputes to come to terms by negotiating the resolution. This can be carried out by the parties themselves or by their representatives. 2. Mediation: is a procedure of ADR explored by the parties in disputes. This involves a mediator or third party, who ensures that a resolution is reached by facilitating and promoting peaceful communication to reach the desired interest of the disputing parties. 3. Conciliation: this is an ADR method whereby the mediator who is the impartial third party makes suggestions or solutions that would make the disputing parties shift grounds to an amicable resolution. 4. Arbitration: in this method, the disputing parties submit to the third party or the arbitrator for the resolution.
